The Institute of Historical Research is the UK's national centre for history, dedicated to supporting historians of all kinds.
From 28 September 2020, the IHR Library partially reopens for readers who pre-book desks. All other parts of the IHR building remain closed. Working remotely, Institute staff continue to support the historical community, and to offer as many IHR services and resources as possible.
The IHR's autumn events programme is now available: numerous free events -- including panels, workshops, training sessions and seminars -- delivered online.
